Music Applet 2.5.0 released
Keeping my word, Music Applet 2.5.0 is now available. This release adds support for the long-awaited Amarok 2. It also fixed lots of bugs. In particular, the applet will no longer try to take over your entire panel if you play a song with a long title, and handling of metadata when playing Internet radio streams is vastly improved. There are additional bug fixes too; check the release notes for details.

Dear Paul Kuliniewicz,
I compiled from source music-applet 2.5.0 using following commands :
./configure –prefix=/usr
make
make install
I chosen plugin ‘quodlibet’ but title / artist are not displayed anymore [both if dbus or command : quodlibet] in the panel and the notification bubble is squared and consequently does not look like the screenshots I saw on your website.
Tell me if you need some more information.
Best regards,
Sirsurthur
Which version of Quod Libet are you running? I have version 1.0 (from Ubuntu Intrepid), and everything works fine as far as I can tell. Is there anything in ~/.gnome2/music-applet/stderr.log or stdout.log that suggests what the problem might be?
The look of the notification popup is determined by notification-daemon. I’m not sure how it determines how the popups should appear.
It’s a sad sad day when Jamie, Ryan, and Benji are too distracted to post
Kulinibox!
Before someone actually asks a relevant question about the new version of Kulinibox.
I wasn’t distracted…I just didn’t have any internet. Long live Kulinibox!
Hello. I’m really happy with this applet. I’m just wandering if I could change the controls (play, pause, next, prev) to the left side of the applet ?

In other words, not only choose which controls appear, but also their order. It’d be doable, but I’m not immediately sure how that would interact with long-awaited support for fat panels (i.e., a two-row display). It’s on the to-do list.
