Hot Squid on Squid on Squid Action

PZ Myers recently reposted a series of posts on cephalopod sex. Those things are weird. I for one am glad humans are able to identify another’s gender before attempting to mate with him or her, and that the proportion of people using the “sneaker” mating strategy is vanishingly small.

Plus, it’s one of the few pages describing “tentacle sex” that isn’t referring to, um, something else (link possibly NSFW).

  1. I’m not quite sure where this comes from, Paul. I mean, the QOTW and Rhythmbox Applet updates, sure, but squid sex? I think you just wanted to use that post title.

    Explanation?

  2. Hey, if information security expert Bruce Schneier can have Friday Squid Blogging, I don’t see why I can’t throw a little squid sex linkage in once in a while like a sneaker throws his spermatophores.

  3. So I’m a little late on this one… but Tentacle Rape is possibly Not Safe for Work?! Granted, I”m AT work so I can’t see for myself, but the only way that would be safe for work is if:
    A. The article doesn’t actually mention or discuss the subject at all, or
    B. “Work” is a part of the adult industry.

  4. Oh come on, like I don’t know what “Chicago” is a euphemism for.
