I haven't been "requesting" to see some of your improv, I have been hinting to you rater frequently about it. Yea, well I was able to hear it all but I wasn't able to get the file to play using Winamp, Windows Media Player, or Quicktime. If you could tell me what program we have on our computer that will play that all, that'd be great.

Later Bro

Winamp? Why would you be trying to play a video in a music player?

The videos use the MPEG4 codec, so you'll need to have that codec installed. Don't ask me why WiMP doesn't have it. I don't know offhand where you could go to download it.

Alright...Well I didn't know that I'd have to be downloading something just so I'd be able to watch your improv. Hopefully it's worth it

Can you download codecs off of windowsupdate.microsoft.com? At the very least you may be able to get an updated copy of WiMP that knows how to handle MPEG4. Though it's still strange that it doesn't handle them out-of-the-box. All the Linux media players I tried can play them.

Hey Jeff!

Yep, that looks like that should do it. Amy, try installing that and see if you can play the videos now.

Thank you Jeff. I did install it.

Yea, Paul, the video doesn't match up with the sound. The video is really slow but you can see it. The sound stops before the video does. If you could explain how THAT happens, I'd love to hear it.

My current hypothesis is that mencoder is quite happy to create videos that only mplayer can play properly. I don't have time right now to mess with it again and try to encode videos that are easier to play.
