Lots of Irritating Silly Parentheses

Most good text editors have a feature where, when you type a closing parenthesis, brace, or bracket, the cursor briefly jumps to its match. I’ve never been a particular fan of this feature, but I’ve found it’s essential when working with Scheme or any other language with Lisp-like syntax. I’m sorry, but I have trouble keeping track of whether I’m seventeen or eighteen levels deep inside a function, and the “lean on the ) key until they start getting highlighted in red” trick only works if you’re trying to close all of them off.
